Troubled speech and language specialist, Lernout and Hauspie, (L&H) today announced that former president and CEO John Duerden has resigned from the board of directors and left the company altogether.

Duerden, whose leadership of the company passed last Tuesday to Philippe Bodson, former head of Belgian utility firm Tractebel, becomes the latest member of staff to walk away from the floundering company. Duerden's announcement follows the recent departures of Roel Pieper, former chairman of the board, and board member Bernard Vergnes.
