Details firm up for MacTech's upcoming developer conference

The start of MacTech magazine's annual conference is just days away. The program and extras sound interesting and even fun!

As the preregistration pricing deadline arrives for the annual MacTech developer conference later this month in Los Angeles, the company announced a number of interesting activities, field trips and discounts.

On the first evening of the conference, attendees will take a trip to Walt Disney Animation Studios and have a back-stage talk with Disney technoloty implementors and artists. This will be a special evening for anyone managing a content-creation workflow or for computer animation buffs.

More about the conference sessions is here. I noticed that several sessions were added following the conference:

Code 42 Special Presentation: Protecting Enterprise Information in a Mobile World

Cryptic Apps Special Presentation: Using Hopper Dedicated Disassembler for Mac and iOS

Apple Certifications Exams (proctored by v.2)

Now, the $300 preregistration discount ends Monday, Oct. 8 for the conference running Oct. 17-19. However, if you are interested in the November and December InDepth and Boot Camp events in San Jose, San Diego and Miami, MacTech has a multi-event discount for $50-off each event, as well as a free 6-month subscription to MacTech magazine (worth $50 newsstand).

As I've said before, with the growth of Apple platforms, the Mac and iOS markets need more technical conferences for enterprise and business developers as well as SMB consultants. WWDC and the MacTech conferences offer useful, real-world implementation information and face-time with developers who are coding the code.
