DiGi offers mobile TV

DiGi has unveiled its mobile TV subscription service called D'Channels for RM14.90 (US$4) per month.

DiGi has unveiled its mobile TV subscription service called D'Channels for RM14.90 (US$4) per month. The service will be launched on Sept. 15.

You get seven channels streamed to your phone. The channels are DiGi Sports, DiGi News, DiGi Toons, DiGi music, Fashion TV, Indonesian channel SCTV and Cantonese channel Jia Yu.

Any customers with GPRS General Packet Radio Service) or EDGE (Enhanced Data rate for GSM Evolution) will be able to access the service. It does not require 3G (a service which DiGi does not provide).
