Local mobile services provider MobileOne (M1) unveiled Wednesday that its subscribers will be able to launch auction site eBay, directly via the operator's portal.

From Aug. 2, users can select an eBay icon--tagged eBay Mobile--located on the MiWorld mobile portal to access the auction site and conduct operations in real-time, including browsing and bidding for items on the online marketplace via their mobile phones.

The auction site, hosted on M1's network, has been customized to fit screen dimensions of a mobile device, making browsing a more pleasant experience for the subscriber.

Browsing the auction site is accessible to all M1 customers, but trading requires an eBay registration. M1's data traffic charges of S$0.001 per Kb (US$0.0006) will apply as per normal.
