Elonex, Mitac deliver 133MHz Pentium notebooks

A feature-rich 133MHz notebook from direct seller Elonex, and a light 133MHz notebook from Mitac were launched today.

Elonex's NB-5000 TFT range comes in 133MHz Pentium and 150MHz Pentium flavours. The entry-level NB-5133 (£2,330 + VAT) is a 133MHz Pentium-based notebook with 16Mb RAM, 1.35Gb hard drive, 12.1-inch TFT screen, removable 3.5-inch floppy drive, 16-bit sound and optional six-speed CD-ROM drive. A similarly-specified 150-MHz model with 2Gb hard drive costs £2,590 + VAT. Windows 95 or MS-DOS and Windows for Workgroups are pre-installed.

Mitac's 5023 (£1,300 + VAT) is a 2.2Kg, 133MHz Pentium-based notebook with 8Mb RAM, 850Mb hard drive, 10.4-inch TFT screen and 16-bit sound.
