Ready to upgrade your mobile phone? Next week, you can get rid of the old one responsibly as part of National Cell Phone Recycling Week, being sponsored by the Environmental Protection Agency from April 6 to April 12.

The EPA is working with some of the biggest Plug-In To Ecycling members that are involved in the cell phone biz, including AT&T, Samsung, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless. All of these companies will provide in-store and online recycling options. More details can be found on the EPA Web site.

To refresh your memory, only about 10 percent of cell phones are recycled currently (some find a second life, of course, through various charitable causes which is something that tends to get overlooked).
