Flow wireless speaker dock for iPod designed to let music travel

There are plenty (if not too many) speaker dock systems for the iPod and iPhone out there, but here's a concept far different from the rest.

Getting a bit of buzz these days for its interactive qualities, the flOw wireless speaker system has been designed with a set of detachable speaker orbs that allow users to take their music with them. Say what?

Created by David Boyce, the flOw is supposed to be a social gadget that gives "users freedom to share their music and take it wherever they want." Essentially, each of those orbs in the picture above is an individual, soft silicone speaker. When removed, the orb can communicate with the stereo wirelessly and continue playing music from the docked iPod.

Users can further remotely control the iPod and docking station via the built-in gesture control system. Thus, depending how much you're dancing with the orb in hand and how rigorously you shake it determines the mood of the music selected.

Again, this is still in the concept stages, so definitely no word on a price tag or release date for this stereo system yet. It's also not clear which iPod model(s) would be compatible with this machine as the product page only lists the generic iPod name.

But should it be released, would you be interested in picking one up?
