Web-enabled translation software to facilitate communication with Mazda Motor Corporation

TOKYO, 1 May 2000 -- Fujitsu Limited has concluded a licensing agreement with Ford Motor Company under which Ford and its Japan-based Mazda Motors affiliate will use Fujitsu's TransLinGO! Enterprise Japanese-English translation software on its internal systems. The licensing agreement was concluded at the end of January and the software is already in use.

Ford, a leading global provider of automotive products and services, has been expanding its worldwide business through its many international subsidiaries and affiliates.

To help ease communication and information sharing with personnel at Mazda, Ford selected Fujitsu's translation software, which runs on an English Windows operating environment and enables users to view Japanese Web pages, e-mail and files created in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint in English.
