T-Mobile is making WiFi access at any of its hotspots free to anyone using Windows Vista through the end of April. Here are the details:

Purchase or upgrade to the new Microsoft Windows Vista operating system and we’ll enhance your mobile life by providing a complimentary T-Mobile HotSpot trial. The trial account will provide T-Mobile HotSpot wireless broadband Internet service at no charge when you access the network on your mobile PC powered by Windows Vista. Complimentary service ends April 30, 2007.

T-Mobile HotSpot lets you stay connected to what matters most in your life. With more than 7,000 convenient HotSpot locations across the country, you can share photos, watch streaming video, download music, IM, and access your e-mail at blazing fast broadband speeds.

It’s simple to create your complimentary trial account:

  1. Visit a T-Mobile HotSpot location with your mobile PC powered by Windows Vista.
  2. Launch your Internet Explorer 7 browser on your Windows Vista operating system.
  3. On the HotSpot login page click the Windows Vista banner or go to hotspot.t-mobile.com/vista .
  4. Create your trial account and sign in.

System requirements: Genuine 32-bit Windows Vista and 32-bit Internet Explorer 7.

What I'm curious about is why they're not offering this to 64-bit users. Any ideas?
