Gartner Security Conference

Look to this blog for updates on things I see/learn at the Gartner IT Security Summit in DC this week. Watching this conference grow over the last four years has been amazing. It reminds me of the famous quote recieved from this blogger on my first day at work as an analyst:

The great thing about security is that it is never The Next Big Thing, but it is always part of The Next Big Thing.

Which, while true, does not do justice to the growth in the security industry since he said these words. The Gartner IT Security Conference has grown to 1,700 attendees and 120 vendors. I believe it now rivals RSA for content and value.
