Google Chrome development is on the speedy side. The latest: There's a pre-beta of Chrome 2.0 just a few months following Chrome's introduction. Chrome 1.0.154.36 is the latest. Google Operating System and Cloud Technology Resource Site are reporting the news. The primary features appear to be form autocomplete, full page zoom, autoscroll and profiles that allow you to change Chrome's setting in different categories.

The Cloud Technology Resource Site has a nice primer on how to get the latest version--for those of you that like to play with pre-beta browsers. The steps:

1. If you don’t have Google Chrome, install it from google.com/chrome 2. Subscribe to the developer preview channel. This is required even if you’ve previously subscribed to the channel. 3. Wait until the new version is downloaded (you may force the update by opening the “About Google Chrome” dialog).
