Happy Friday: 48 Snow Leopard screen shots
An AppleInsider reader located an annotated Flickr album of four dozen Snow Leopard screenshots he published a bit earlier in the week. Some of his observations: Initial setup now warns you if you don't choose a password hint.

An AppleInsider reader located an annotated Flickr album of four dozen Snow Leopard screenshots he published a bit earlier in the week. Some of his observations:
- Initial setup now warns you if you don't choose a password hint.
- Time Machine menu bar icon is now grayed-out if Time Machine is not configured.
- Clean Up icons command in the Finder now "slides" icons into place instead of them just moving instantly. It's a neat visual effect.
- There is no QuickTime preference pane, and no preferences within the application itself. I theorize that Apple is going to do away with QuickTime Pro entirely.
- Quick Look now works from Open and Save dialogs.
The Flickr user inewton1974 expects to see Snow Leopard released by October with a brand-new interface (which many are calling "Marble") that is similar to the new QuickTime X interface with "glossy blacks, probably a lot of transparency as well."
You might want to check out the screenies before Apple legal gets ahold of them.
