Ever since I have been on this beat, I've been speaking up for click-to-call applications that Web developers for non-technical businesses could place on their websites.
Three hypothetical examples of useful click-to-calls; a public utility, hardware store website, or maybe the website of a small professional services firm (law, accounting, healthcare).
Of course businesses such as these could download and install a SkypeMe, or similar button. But the issue is that such consumer-grade click-to-calls are a bear to integrate with corporate CRM programs.
There are click-to-call alternatives.
One is Global IP Solutions (GIPS) newly announced Click-to-Talk web-based VoIP solution, Click-to-Talk Lite. It is is available free to Web and application developers at http://developer.gipscorp.com.
