Hotmail, the freemail service offered by Microsoft Corp. has added a feature that will let users erase their messages from a computers cache memory after they log off. The service is designed to protect the privacy of consumers who log in from public terminals. The company has also added a feature that would let consumers choose from 17 "stationery" patterns for their email and a new mapping service.
