Written by Manilla Bulletin, Contributor

Hewlett-Packard Company has introduced its Corporate Yahoo! customized, global enterprise information portal -- HP Eservices Portal.

MANILA, (Manila Bulletin) - HP will market this Internet software solution, which is an extension of the agreement HP and Yahoo! announced last August. The HP Eservices Portal allows companies to provide employees with targeted Internet, intranet and extranet content through the widely used My Yahoo! interface.

Portals are a major element of HP's eservices strategy, which is focused on moving the Internet from a "do it yourself" model to a "do it for me" model, fueled by electronic services. HP's E-services Portal is a total employee portal solution that provides complete portalbuilding and knowledge-management capabilities for large enterprise portal applications.

The portal solution also will deliver HP e-services.

Cap Gemini Ernst & Young will provide integration services for the HP E-services Portal. Cap Gemini Ernst & Young's combination of systems integration, ecommerce strategies and development capabilities across industries will provide customers with a personalized, custom-integrated implementation of the HP Corporate Yahoo! offering.

Autonomy, Inc., a knowledge-management leader, will provide its PortalinaBox suite of products for inclusion with the HP Eservices Portal solution.

A new HP software suite, HP Portal Director, will be available with the HP E-services Portal implementation services. HP Portal Director enables comprehensive companywide network searches of Web or FTP servers for existing knowledge sources, such as HTML files or Microsoft Word documents.
