The company announced the HP Officejet 150 Mobile all-in-one device on Wednesday at its Global Influencer Summit 2012 in Shanghai.

"Customers want to be with their customer and they want to be able to print right then and there," John Soloman, senior vice president of HP's printers and personal systems unit, said at the event. "Not only do they want to be able to print, but they want the full function of print, copy and scan."

The unit measures 350mm by 171mm by 90mm and weighs 3.1kg, making it a manageable size and weight to take on the road.

Connectivity-wise the HP Officejet 150 provides options for scanning documents directly to a USB key, PCs via Bluetooth 2.0, email or SD cards. It also features a 2.36-inch colour touchscreen display. The Bluetooth connection can also be used to print directly from smartphones using HP's e-print service.

In addition to mains power, HP said the long-life lithium ion battery can print up to 500 pages from a single full charge.

The company said the device will start shipping in June and will cost $400; UK specific pricing was not available at the time of writing.
