HTC revenue up 19% in Q1 2010

Late last year HTC rolled out its Quietly Brilliant campaign along with some fantastic Windows Mobile and Google Android devices. 2010 should be a banner year too with many more devices running both of these operating systems.

I admit to being quite a fan of HTC devices with the Google Nexus One and T-Mobile HTC HD2 being my two primary smartphones. I have always found HTC devices to be innovative and of high quality and am happy to see them getting their name out there more. I think their HTC, Quietly Brilliant, campaign is quite good with compelling commercials and a nice message. The Boy Genius Report posted that HTC Q1 profits are up 19% in 2010 compared to 2009. This is great news considering they were primarily Windows Mobile creators who have branched into supporting Google in a major way.

I understand that financial firms raised stock price targets and ratings to "buy". 2009 was not a good year financially and 2010 is starting off very shaky too, but with the fabulous HTC HD2 and the growing offering of Google Android devices I imagine 2010 could be a banner year for HTC. They will most likely be making Windows Phone 7 devices too, but we have yet to see any of their products at the various shows with Microsoft. The HTC Legend, HTC Desire, and HTC EVO 4G will be coming soon with more great devices to follow.
