HTC has debuted at CES 2010 what they promise will be "an easier-to-use, affordable smartphone," the aptly-named HTC Smart.

Although we don't even know a price yet, CES followers are buzzing that this will be the first budget smartphone on the market.

Running on Qualcomm's Brew MP, the slim HTC Smart will feature 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen and Bluetooth, followed by some low-end numbers starting at 256 MB of RAM, 300MHz speed processor and 3-megapixel built-in camera (but with flash). And to keep the price down, there might not even be Wi-Fi capability. But there will be HSDPA internet.

It's unclear when we'll see this in the U.S., but it will be making its first appearance this spring in Europe and Asia.
