KUALA LUMPUR, 6 July 2000 (MaxisNet) - IBM, Lotus and Tivoli have announced PartnerWorld for Software, the so-called world's most comprehensive e-business software marketing, enablement, and support programme that gives single Web access to business partners to take advantage of growing e-business revenue opportunities.

In the first phase of a planned rollout this year, IBM unveiled the PartnerWorld for Software Web portal (www.ibm.com/partnerworld/software) a simplified, unified Business Partner resource web point.

The on-line portal provides easy access to IBM and Lotus software, training, and support, combined with new e-business certification and enablement programs. The Web delivery of this information prepares Business Partners to formally migrate to PartnerWorld for Software in a phased approach.

Product highlights

Solution Sales Resource: a Web-based repository of sales tools, presentations, competitive information, and customer collateral to help Business Partners through each step of the e-business solution selling process.

Partner Directory: a Web-based directory where customers can locate qualified IBM and Lotus Business Partners who have the skills they need to implement e-business solutions.

You Pass, We Pay offerings: for the first time, Lotus Business Partners can receive reimbursement for Lotus courses taken to achieve e-business certification.

Enhanced technical support: newly available via the Web, product content is being expanded to include additional Lotus and selected Tivoli technologies across all geographies.

Single-source software delivery: Web-based access to the IBM and Lotus software portfolio for "demo and evaluation and "run your business" usage. Delivery can be either by electronic download or CD.

Launched in May 1999, IBM PartnerWorld is a marketing and enablement programme designed to create new revenue opportunities for IBM Business Partners. PartnerWorld initiatives are built around e-business and emphasize IBM's industry-leading portfolio of offerings - including technology, software, services and financing.
