IBM set to release NC
IBM is about to announce its Network Computer (NC) plans, according to a report in this morning's Wall Street Journal. The report says that IBM's first device will be priced at about $700 without a monitor and will be aimed squarely at the business market.

IBM is about to announce its Network Computer (NC) plans, according to a report in this morning's Wall Street Journal. The report says that IBM's first device will be priced at about $700 without a monitor and will be aimed squarely at the business market. The firm has been a strong booster of the technology with CEO Lou Gerstner voicing support at several conferences. NCs could help IBM prop up its mainframe and minicomputer business.
