While all the news seems to be turned towards 3D tech, set-top boxes and netbooks, there's still some gaming news going on at CES. And this gadget is all about the serious gaming experience.

Immerz, Inc. has just announced the KOR-fx full sensory immersion gear set. It's not for casual gamers.

The KOR-fx is a portable device that sits over the gamer's shoulders. It then "immerses" the user into the game by delivering vibrations to the chest. It then activates neural pathways that monitor the vibrations of the chest cavity when the user is speaking, laughing or crying. Immerz calls this "emotional surround sound." Sounds touchy-feely.

The system is platform-independent and should work with any device that has an audio output.

Immerz has posted a video about the KOR-fx gaming experience to their YouTube page. I'm not sure the dazed looks on the gamers' faces is really the best selling point, but they certainly look into it.

It's available for pre-order in Immerz's online store for $189.99, and if you get a set, you'll be seeing it your mailbox around May 30.
