Information Architects has assembled a list of the 140 most influential people on Twitter.

Called the "Cosmic 140," the list is sorted by name, handle, category, influence and activity, as well as when they started tweeting and what they first said.

Among those chosen? Twitter founders Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Jack Dorsey, of course, as well as tech darlings John Gruber, Jason Calacanis and former CNET star Veronica Belmont.

But that's not all. Celebrities -- such as Oprah Winfrey, Ellen DeGeneres, Conan O'Brien and Deepak Chopra -- are present on the list, as well as several prominent news outlets, including The New York Times, CNN Breaking News and NPR Politics. (Hey, what about SmartPlanet?!)

SmartPlanet favorites Smashing Magazine (web design) and TED (innovation) also made the cut.

Want to see the full list as an infographic? Check it out as a .PDF file at AI's site.
