Tech distributor Ingram Micro said Monday it plans to acquire Ensim, a San Jose-based provider of provisioning and management technology for cloud-based applications. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"This acquisition is an excellent complement to Ingram Micro and we look forward to Ensim joining our team," said Ingram Micro CEO Alain Monié, in a canned statement.

The companies offered almost no further details about the acquisition in their press release. As for Ingram Micro, the company was recently acquired for roughly $6 billion by a unit of Chinese conglomerate HNA Group.

Ingram CEO Monié and his management team are set to remain in place following the deal, and Ingram's business is expected to continue as is.

Irvine, California-based Ingram Micro is a behind-the-scenes distributor for IT technology, supporting various e-commerce players as well as resellers.
