Kingston had introduced a new member to their SSDNow V (which stands for "value") series: a 30 GB model developers say will be "lightning-fast and cost-effective."

The 30 GB SSD promises to shorten PC boot and shutdown times as well as load certain software programs faster (i.e. Photoshop, Firefox, iTunes, etc.).

It's set to be priced under £90 ($146, ouch, hate those exchange rates), and it will be available in February with a three-year warranty and 24-hour available tech support.

The new Kingston SSD can also ship as part of an all-in-one bundle, which will include cloning software (for moving data from an existing HDD to the SSDNow) , 2.5-inch to 3.5-inch brackets and SATA data and power cable extenders (there's no price for this listed yet).
