Seoul, Jan 24 (Asia Pulse) - South Korean Internet business consulting company e-Corporation said Monday that 50 Internet companies in Korea would attend joint business briefings entitled "E-summit@Korea 2000" in Seoul, Los Angeles, Tokyo, and Hong Kong.

The company said it was taking applications from Jan 18 to Jan 26, and over 50 companies had already applied to participate in the event, which will run from February to June. The participants will take part in briefings at the Convention and Exhibition Center (COEX) in Seoul on Feb 10 and 11, in Los Angele and Tokyo in April and in Hong Kong in June. Silicon Valley News and Sankei Shinbun will manage the event in the US and Japan, respectively. "This event was planned because it is difficult for individual companies to advance overseas business briefings by themselves. It is expected to be a good opportunity for the participants to promote themselves in overseas markets," e-Corporation president Kim Yi-sook said.

The world tour is drawing attention as it is rare to see such a great number of competitors cooperating on this scale.
