At EclipseCon 2007, Krugle, Inc. is announcing a new plug-in for Eclipse that makes its 1.5+ billion line code base available directly from the IDE. Krugle Eclipse enables enterprise developers to search and browse open source code from popular resources such as SourceForge, the Yahoo! Developer Network, and Microsoft's CodePlex. Over 35 languages, including Java, C/C++, Ruby, Perl, and Python are supported.

"The best productivity tool a developer has is pre-existing code," said Ken Krugler, Co-Founder and CTO of Krugle. The new plug-in will integrate Krugle's code search functionality right into the Eclipse workbench. "Whether they’re looking to reuse open source components, use code examples as a reference, or access important documentation and metadata, Krugle Eclipse will help them to do it faster than ever before."

The beta version of Krugle Eclipse is compatible with Eclipse 3.2 and higher and will be available for free download later this week at the Krugle web site.
