Leading ISPs join Check Point in global cyber-attack defense initiative
Singapore, 21 March 2000 -- Several top-tier service providers including British Telecom's Concert (NYSE: BTY), GTE Internetworking (NYSE:GTE), ESOFT Global, Intermedia (NASDAQ:ICIX) and Telenisus will work with Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP) to strengthen their defenses against cyber attacks.
Using Check Point's recently announced OPSEC Internet Alert technology, service providers can now receive notification of cyber attacks in real time, allowing them to take immediate action and prevent cyber attacks launched at eBusiness websites.
The Cyber Attack Defense System is designed to automatically identify, analyze and prevent cyber attacks launched on an eBusiness website. It also sends notifications to Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and leading OPSEC solutions to cut off an attack. OPSEC Internet Alert technology is a component of Check Point's overall Cyber Attack Defense System.
