Lenovo on Wednesday announced the entry-level ThinkStation E20 workstation, which starts at less than $600.

The system, which is more than 50 percent recycled plastic content, is intended for budget-constrained professionals who work in CAD and digital content creation.

The system offers a choice of the Intel Core i3 and i5 processors, as well as Pentium and Xeon 3400 Series chips.

As befits its audience, the E20 also offers a choice of independent software vendor (ISV) certified graphics solutions, such as Intel Core HD graphics or NVIDIA Quadro discrete graphics (up to the FX1800).

It's also certified for Autodesk, Siemens and Dassault Systemes.

The ThinkStation E20 workstation will be available in mid-February starting at $599.
