Here's last year's winning t-shirt design.

The Linux Foundation, in honor of Linux's 21st birthday is having another t-shirt competition. So, if you really love Linux, can make cool t-shirt designs (That leaves me right out), then this contest is for you!

This year the theme is "Inspired by Linux" and calls on people from around the world to create a design with that in mind.

You can find the complete rules here, but to cut to the chase, it needs to be an original design.

It has to be in a file that can be no larger “than 640x480 (.jpg, .png, .gif) and must be under 1MB in size. The winner will be required to provide a vectorized version (.svg, .eps, .pdf) of their design to print on the T-shirt.  It may be in any colors you like.”

In addition, “In your description, please tell us how Linux inspires you and explain the inspiration behind the design. The design can depict literally or figuratively the events or ideas that get you pumped up for Linux. Let Linux be your muse.”

For some added inspiration, here's the Inspired by Linux video:

You have until June 8, 2012 at 11:55 PM Pacific Time to get your designs in so get cracking!
