Me too! ZigBee low-power spec also gets nod from health alliance
Turns out that Bluetooth isn't the only low-power network specification to be approved by the Continua Health Alliance. The group has also approved ZigBee Health Care for use as a low-power LAN standard.

Turns out that Bluetooth isn't the only low-power network specification to be approved by the Continua Health Alliance. The group has also approved ZigBee Health Care for use as a low-power LAN standard. The technology will be used for sensor and control applications in homes, recreation centers and across healthcare campuses. It supports IEEE 11073, which is a communications interoperability specification for medical devices. Here's yesterday's item on the Bluetooth nod.
