Micromuse appoints VP enterprise sales (Asean, Australia/ New Zealand)

Micromuse (Australia) Pty Ltd, a provider of fault management and service assurance software, has named Paul Harapin, as vice president, ASEAN, Australia/New Zealand and Enterprise Sales.

Harapin will be tasked with expanding Micromuse's South East Asian business and developing new sales opportunities for Micromuse's Netcool software suite in emerging markets.

Prior to joining Micromuse, Paul served as vice president, Asia Pacific, for Avesta Technologies Inc. Prior to Avesta, Harapin was the director of sales, Asia Pacific, for Tivoli Systems, which was subsequently acquired by IBM Corp.

Harapin is also a member of the Singapore-Australia business council, and consultant to iChifley, an Internet incubator in Australia.

He graduated from the University of Sydney in 1989 in Economics and International Finance.
