Microsoft reveals buyer for Greenfield Online's survey business

Microsoft on Wednesday revealed the buyer for Greenfield Online's survey business--ZM Capital.

Last month, Microsoft said it would buy Greenfield Online, a company that does surveys and has a shopping comparison engine. At the time, Microsoft said it had found a buyer for the survey side of Greenfield's business, but didn't reveal it.

Tying up some loose ends, Microsoft said in a statement that it will sell Greenfield's Internet survey business to ZM Surveys, an entity of ZM Capital, a private equity firm.

ZM Capital said it plans to keep Greenfield's business a stand-alone holding.
