Microsoft has launched a new version of its MediaPlayer software that includes CD jukebox features.
MediaPlayer 7 can handle streamed and downloadable digital audio, video and Internet radio content, and has a jukebox feature that allows consumers to copy CDs to their PCs. The player also features a media guide to related online content.
Developers can preview the player at www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia. MediaPlayer 7 will be formally released later this year.
