The company will acquire Zecter, which provides streaming digital media and synchronisation technologies that could help the MotoBlur Android overlay
Written by ZDNet Staff, Contributor

Motorola Mobility on Wednesday said it will acquire Zecter, a start-up that delivers streaming digital media and synchronisation technologies.

The companies did not disclose the amount of the purchase, but acquiring Zecter bolsters MotoBlur, Motorola Mobility's Android overlay. TechCrunch reported on Tuesday that the Zecter deal was imminent.

Zecter provides mobile access to music, video, photos and documents from various devices. The company has ZumoDrive, a cloud content repository, and ZumoCast, which streams that media to any device.
