Microsoft wants to put Windows back on boot-up screens. The company has rejigged licences so that PC vendors will be forced to have the Microsoft logo clearly visible instead of that of the PC vendor when users power up their systems, according to a report in this morning's Wall Street Journal. The deal will apply to Windows 95 and Windows 9x, the next version of desktop Windows.
