New name for Apple's phone

Andy has a thought-provoking post about just what is up with US carrier's fear and loathing of WiFi that's worth a read if you are amongst those of us who use cell phones with data plans as modems or regularly use telco-provisioned WiFi.

I've had a devil of a time getting my Verizon Treo 700p paired with any of my portables. It's been virtually painless with the Nokia N93 using T-Mobile. But T-Mobile doesn't offer a 3G connection like Verizon's EVDO. I never had such problems with my trusty old Sprint Treo 650 except that device didn't offer 3G either. Sigh.

The hidden gem in the post is the best name yet for the new Apple phone... Good one buddy!
