News Burst: MP3 will be dominant till 2003 - Jupiter
MP3 is here to stay -- at least until 2003 -- despite efforts by the music industry to kill it off, according to research released Tuesday by analyst firm Jupiter Communications.
The report slammed record companies for ignoring MP3 and warned they did so at their peril. Jupiter analyst Lucas Graves advised record labels to embrace MP3 or "pay the price" when downloadable music goes mainstream.
