News Burst: Novell shares soar on earnings report

Shares of Novell Inc. jumped 1 5/16 to 18 11/16 to hit a new 52-week high Wednesday after the company easily topped Street estimates in its fourth fiscal quarter, returning a profit of $42m (£25.6m), or 12 cents a share, on sales of $298m (£182m).
