News Ltd hires IT shared services chief

in brief News Limited's Australian division has created a new position, director of IT shared services, to form and lead a national shared services organisation.

Clive Parsons has been chosen for the job, according to company sources, and will start mid next month. Parsons moves from being the CIO of physical infrastructure company Coffey International for the last four years. Before that, he worked in senior IT positions at P&O Ports and P&O Nedlloyd.

The shared services organisation will be established over the next 12 months, bringing together IT teams from cities across the nation to make one group providing technology services to the company.

Parsons has previously had experience creating shared services organisations within Coffey and P&O.
