Northeast Passage: here we come

For the first time in human history two ships are poised to travel by water from Asia to Europe...across the top of Siberia. They will leave Siberia bound for Rotterdam. Another sign of our changed, warmer planet. In recent centuries there has been too much Arctic ice for ships to make the passage even in summer.
