Nuggets: Ericsson launches keyboard for SMS freaks

Nuggets, twice a day, every day (well, we do our best!). Software, hardware and every gadget we can get our mitts on...

A little sad methinks... but oh so cute

If you spend more time on your Ericsson mobile using SMS rather than actually talking, this could be the perfect gadget.

The Chatboard is a mini 49 key, metallic keyboard that snaps on to the bottom of your phone. There are special function keys for SMS, email, attachments and phone book. To complement the keyboard, Ericsson is launching the Chatboard Web site on September 30. You can set up a personal homepage and fill it with images, documents and sound files. An attachment button on the keyboard lets you send any of your posted files along with your messages.

The Chatboard is compatible with the GF 788e, S 868, SH 888, 1 888 WORLD, A1018s/sc, R250s, T10s/sc and T18s/sc Ericsson phones. It comes in a transparent blue plastic carrying case, will cost around £15 from October 4 and all in all sounds rather cute.
