HP has identified 38 different models in its slimline PC range that are suffering from problems relating to NVIDIA chips.

The support page describes the issue as follows:

"Some of these computers may not boot or may not display video."

That sounds suspiciously like the problems that Dell, HP and Apple users were experiencing when their NVIDIA GPUs died prematurely due to thermal issues.

HP's solution - limited warranty enhancement:

This program provides for a motherboard replacement at no charge for 12 months from the date your one-year Hardware Limited Warranty expires or until December 31, 2009, whichever is sooner.

A statement from HP states that "HP is aware that certain Nvidia chips used in the HP Pavilion Slimline Desktop PCs may experience issues."

I've approached NVIDIA for comment and will update when I get a response.
