Off topic: Murdoch apologizes - OJ special and book canceled

Off topic but I had to comment. According to a report I just read in the Wall St. Journal (pay site - no link), Rupert Murdoch, chairman of News Corp., has apologized for the incredibly poor taste shown by Fox TV in planning a two-part special featuring OJ Simpson ruminating on how he might have committed murder. The show has been canceled.

The show has been canceled and Murdoch is quoted in the article as saying,

"I and senior management agree with the American public that this was an ill-considered project,'' said Mr. Murdoch. "We are sorry for any pain that his has caused the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson.''
The accompanying book has also been canceled. Thank goodness.
