I came across an interesting Free Open Source Software site on my hyper travels the other day: ohloh. It seems to be a social networking site for FOSS developers, where you can track projects and connect with other members (more background information from Wikipedia). Not surprisingly, the project has been acquired by SourceForge back in May. It seems to supply the front-end information and interactivity that SourceForge lacks.

However, what I would like is a more non-techie, user-centric web site, to follow, sponsor and feature-request your favourite FOSS applications. I'm not very fussed about the code or the languages, more about supporting the projects whose software I use. Is there such a thing out there?
