Oracle to join Jericho forum
ZDNet UK has heard a rumour at the Infosec conference -- apparently Oracle is just about to sign up to the Jericho forum. Jericho proponents preach the gospel of deperimeterisation -- their essential message is that not only is a hardened perimiter is not enough to mitigate security threats (an idea that's generally accepted in the security community), but also that the notion of having a perimeter at all will become increasingly outmoded.

Oracle's identity management evangelist Des Powley is going to be speaking at the Jericho forum event at Infosec -- a sign that the two organisations have definitely forged links. We wait with bated breath for an Oracle/Jericho announcement about a more formal arrangement.
