There hasn't been any good Palm Pre reviews posted and with the launch of the Pre taking place from Sprint this Saturday I expected to see a few appear to generate some talk and hype for the device. I did not receive a review unit (Palm usually hooks me up for 30 days) so I wasn't sure if Palm or Sprint were even sending them out to anybody but Mossberg and Pogue. It turns out the Palm Pre has been in the hands of some reviewers for some time and I have to say that Dieter Bohn over at PreCentral.net posted one of the most comprehensive reviews I have read that includes 12 videos to go along with the text of almost every section.

Other reviews you might want to check out include those from:

Stephen Widstrom at BusinessWeek didn't seem overly impressed with the device and offers a fairly cool review of the Palm Pre.

I am personally not planning to pick up a Pre myself on Saturday primarily because it is only available from Sprint. If it was available on T-Mobile or AT&T I would definitely pick one up, but I think there is still a lot to find out before I am sold on WebOS and Palm's new hardware. I am getting to like my T-Mobile G1 more and more every day and the Palm Pre will have to show me it can beat the Google Android OS before I look to get one for myself.

Any readers plan to get in line to try to buy a Pre on Saturday?
