Palm OS 4.0 will support 16-bit colour, Bluetooth short-range wireless connections and Universal Serial Bus connections to PCs. It also supports wireless telephony. Samsung demonstrated a CDMA smartphone based on the new software, due to be released in North America in Q2 2000. The phone will surf the web through WAP and Palm's own web clipping software.
