Petroleum Authority needs IT outsourcer

in brief The National Offshore Petroleum Safety Authority has gone to market for IT infrastructure support services over the next five years.

The services required in the contract include service and repairs of equipment; licence administration; backup and recovery management; performance and monitoring; server, desktop and network services, and help desk and security management services.

NOPSA, which has its head office in Perth, administers offshore petroleum safety legislation. It only employs a small amount of staff and has limited internal IT capability.

Its IT platform has previously been outsourced to Unisys West. The new contract would begin in July 2009.
