Pioneer partnering with Microvision to develop laser display products

Pioneer and Microvision have announced that the two companies are teaming up to develop "innovative" products using MicroVision's PicoP laser display technology.

Both Microvision and Pioneer are already hard at work on a previous agreement to work on components of the PicoP display engine, including a laser light source and a separate subsystem.

The fruits of this partnership are expected to be solutions used in the home and cars, on cell phones and for multiple other commercial uses.

The team is already slated to produce and release an in-vehicle head-up displays by 2012.
