Playing four square with Foursquare at SxSW 2010

Some games are meant to stay on playground.

Foursquare co-founder Dennis Crowley and I rallied the Austin collective for a good ol' fashioned game of four square.

It was fun because it was spontaneous, energetic, and everyone was actually talking to each other instead of staring at their phone screens.

The best part about the event was that someone created a venue on Foursquare for the game. As of this writing 82 people checked in:

The location wars are heating up, and I think Foursquare has the advantage. Integrating real life into your social web app really adds value.
